Should You Bid on Trademarked & Brand Name PPC Keywords? (Pay Per Click)



Is It okay to bid on trademarked and brand name PPC keyword terms as an affiliate marketer? Yes it is Legal! Bidding on trademarked (brand name) pay per click keywords are the highest converting PPC terms you can bid on. These are considered buyers keywords and have huge ROI. BUT, you must follow these PPC rules when bidding on trademarked PPC keywords.

1) Do NOT bid on trademarked keywords if you are promoting the same brand as an affiliate marketer.

2) Do NOT use the trademarked or brand keywords in your ad copy: title, description, or URL. This rule applies to banner ads as well.

3) Always ask your affiliate manager or marketing manager for confirmation before running PPC ads on trademarked terms.

Ideally, if you are a competitor or an affiliate of a competitor, you CAN bid on the trademarked brand name keywords.
